H.E. Khalfan Abdullah Al Mansoori, Acting Director General of Abu Dhabi Hazardous Materials Management Centre, welcomed a delegation from the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation, headed by H.E. Christer Viktorsson, Director General of the Authority, at the Centre’s headquarters in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in the areas of regulation, legislation, and data related to the handling of hazardous materials.
The meeting included discussions on coordination mechanisms to develop communication and collaboration methods that ensure the highest levels of safety and security, as well as reviewing future initiatives that support the achievement of both parties’ strategic objectives in hazardous materials management and nuclear and radiation oversight in the Emirate.
Both sides emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and integrating roles in a way that contributes to strengthening the national safety framework and protecting the community and the environment from potential risks, in line with the UAE’s vision for achieving sustainable development.
